Operation Glacier 4 was an offensive against Taliban Forces in the district of Garmsir, in the Helmand province, Afghanistan. Chinook's are the workhorses of the Afghanistan and Iraq campaigns. Their pilots brave incoming fire on a daily basis as they supply and transport troops in theatre. This photograph was one of a stunning portfolio that won the Royal Navy's Photographer of the Year Award 2008 for POA(Phot) Sean Clee. It was the second consecutive year that he had won the prestigious title.）
