The amphibious beach assault is part of Exercise Reception, Staging, Onward movement, and Integration / Foal Eagle 2007 (RSO&I/FE 07). RSO&I/FE 07 is an annual joint/combined command post / field training exercise. The purpose of the exercise is to demonstrate resolve to support the Republic of Korea (ROK) against external aggression while improving ROK/U.S. combat readiness and joint / combined interoperability. The focus of the exercise is on strategic, operational and tactical aspects of general military operations in the Korean theater of operations.）
