2014年5月21日，英国林肯郡科宁斯比基地，诺曼底登陆纪念活动期间，一架二战时期的361型“喷火”LF9C 战斗机喷涂D日入侵涂装在跑道上滑行，准备与“台风”战斗机编队进行纪念飞行。70年前的6月6日，盟军战机就是喷涂此涂装进行作战的。在整个第二次大战期间，"喷火"战斗机始终战斗在最前线，参加过无数次重要战役，成为世人公认的欧洲最优秀的活塞式战斗机。（Today the 21st May, Royal Air Force (RAF) Coningsby have commemorated the anniversary of the D-Day landings by unveiling a specially painted Typhoon jet. The jet (tail number ZK308) has been adorned with iconic black and white invasion markings in a tribute to the significant role of the Hawker Typhoon in WWII – particularly during D-Day operations. Included in the unveiling ceremony was a flypast by the Tyhpoon along with a spitfire.）
