2000年4月19日，卡塔尔多哈乌代德空军基地，美国空军第366空中远征联队391战斗机中队的一架F-15E"攻击鹰"滑出机库，前往阿富汗执行第一次轰炸任务，地勤列队向飞行员致意。这架F-15E刚刚随队从爱达荷州芒廷霍姆空军基地转调到此，此次任务配备了LANTRIN导航和瞄准吊舱，携带有GBU-12（500磅）激光制导炸弹4枚；AIM-120先进中程空空导弹2枚；AIM-9"响尾蛇"格斗导弹2枚。（Under the F-15E Strike Eagle, 366th Air Expeditionary Wing, 391st Fighter Squadron, Mountain Home AFB, Idaho, the crewchief is in contact with the pilot via hard-line as they cycle the brakes on the main landing gear.
