2014年6月10日，马来西亚槟城北海空军基地，美国空军和马来西亚空军联合举办的“飓风对抗-2014”空战演习中，参演的马来西亚空军第17中队的 MiG-29NUB 战斗机准备起飞与 F-22A 模拟空中对抗。该演习每两年举行一次，本年度演习于6月6日开始至20日结束。（A Royal Malaysian air force MiG-29N Fulcrum takes off on a training sortie with U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptors during Cope Taufan 14 at Royal Malaysian air force P.U.
