2014年6月27日，美国海军主办的“环太平洋-2014”多边海上军演正式展开，参演的美国海军陆战队第465重型直升机中队的 CH-53E“超级种马”直升机在贝里琉号两栖攻击舰上空悬停。此次演习有22个国家参与，演习规模为2万5千人，40余艘舰艇，200多架飞机，演习时间为2014年6月26日至8月1日，演习区域为夏威夷群岛周边海域。（U.S. Marine Corps CH-53 Super Sea Stallion, assigned to Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron (HMH) 465, hovers over a flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Peleliu (LHA 5).
