2014年6月17日，立陶宛希奥利艾机场，英国空军执行波罗的海空中警戒任务期间，英国空军第3战斗机中队的“台风”FGR4 战斗机执行完拦截任务后返场进入机库，此次被拦截的是七架俄罗斯空军飞机，包括一架A-50预警机，4架Su-27战斗机，一架Tu-22轰炸机，以及一架An-26电子情报机。（Two Royal Air Force (RAF) Eurofighter Typhoon jets from 3 Fighter (F) Squadron (Sqn) return from a Quick Reaction Alert (QRA) intercept over the Baltic, during the Baltic Air Policing (BAP) mission, Operation Azotize. In total Flight Lieutenant (Flt Lt) Mark Long and Commandant Marc-Antoine Gerard, intercepted a total of 7 Russian aircraft including, the Tupolev TU22 Backfire, four Suklioi SU30 Flankers, a Beriev A50 Mainstay and an Antanov AN26 Curl.）
