Kitty Hawk, the first of the modern "super carriers," is currently operating off the coast of Australia's Queensland region as part of exercise Talisman Sabre 2005. Talisman Sabre is a combined U.S. and Australia command post and field training exercise, which demonstrates the joint commitment to the military alliance and regional security.）
