As part of Exercise Talisman Sabre 2011 the United States Navy’s versatile transport, the C-2A Greyhound, conducts regular re-supply and personnel movements to and from its ‘home’, the aircraft carrier USS George Washington. The C-2A features pragmatic design features such as foldaway wings, allowing it to be based onboard the carrier. During the exercise, the Greyhound runs a regular logistical service allowing US Navy personnel to come ashore and supplies the guests to be ferried back to the carrier. Australian Air Movements along with Australian Customs and Quarantine personnel are providing support from RAAF Base Darwin to the US Navy during the exercise.）
