美国空军354战斗机联队第18战斗机中队（354FW/18FS）一架 F-16CM 战斗机在“北部边缘-2004”联合演习中空中加油。（A US Air Force (USAF) F-16C Fighting Falcon fighter, 18th Fighter Squadron (FS), 354th Fighter Wing (FW), Eielson AFB, Alaska (AK), lines up with the boom of a Illinois Air National Guard (ILANG) KC-135E Stratotanker, 108th Air Refueling Squadron (AFS), 126th Air Refueling Wing (ARW), Scott Air Force Base (AFB), Illinois (IL), during a refueling mission over Alaska (AK) in support of Exercise NORTHERN EDGE 04. NORTHERN EDGE is Alaska's annual joint training exercise (JTX) designed to enhance interoperability among the services by sharpening and honing joint service techniques and procedures. It helps provide a ready force capable of protecting America's interests at home and abroad. More than 9,000 Airmen, Sailors, Soldiers, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen from active duty, Reserve, and National Guard units are participating in this year's exercise.）
