The RAAF's Air Task Group (ATG) in the Middle East conducted its first precision targeted strike against Daesh in eastern Syria on 14 September 2015, destroying an Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC). Two ATG Hornets and its KC-30A air-to-air refuelling aircraft and E-7A Airborne Early Warning and Control aircraft worked together during the mission. All aircraft retuned to their base in the Middle East without incident.）
