The 17th SOS evacuated the aircraft in anticipation of Typhoon Soudelor, which is expected to pass through the region Aug. 7. The evacuation, which is standard procedure, allows the 353rd Special Operations Group Airmen to maintain the ability to rapidly respond to crises in the region at anytime.）
