During the first week the exercise provided the opportunity for the Regiment to come together and complete courses - including signals, heavy weapons handling, and driver training - to convert to its new light cavalry role. Week two focussed on a field training exercise when a SNIY Squadron, together with a Troop from their Regular paired Regiment the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (SCOTS DG) worked together for the first time to improve the integration between the Reserves and Regulars.）
