This marks the start of the teams "Exercise Springhawk", a two month detachment to RAF Akrotiri. The purpose of the exercise is for the team to continue training in order to get their display to the highest standard before it was flown in front of the public during the summer display season. RAFAT traditionally travel to Cyprus because the weather conditions are perfect for flying, and RAF Akrotiri provides many different display sites for them to practice at. At the end of the detachment the team will display in front of The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) in order to pass a Public Display Authority (PDA). At this point the pilots will wear their famous red suits and the display season will begin.）

2007年12月14日，印度空军从英国BAE公司订购的“鹰”Mk.132教练机从马耳他飞赴比德尔空军基地，照片是由同行的另外一架“鹰”Mk.132飞行员拍摄。印度在2004年3月份订购了66架“鹰”式教练机，籍此希望改变居高不下的飞行事故率。记录显示，自1970年以来，印度空军共发生1010次坠机事故。
