RAAF Base Tindal in the Northern Territory served as the home airstrip for F/A-18 Hornets from Number 75 Squadron and Hawk 127 lead-in-fighter trainers from Number 75 and Number 79 Squadrons during Exercise Pitch Black 2010. Pitch Black is the RAAF's largest combat exercise for this year, and involves aircraft from Australia, New Zealand, Thailand and Singapore.)
