2014年5月21日，英国林肯郡科宁斯比基地，英国空军第29中队的“台风”FGR4 战斗机与二战老飞机“喷火”战斗机编队飞行，拉开诺曼底登陆战70周年纪念活动序幕。两机喷涂的黑白条纹涂装是D日入侵条纹，1944年6月5日的盟军战机在入侵诺曼底期间统一喷涂了这种条纹，作为一种辅助识别手段，以免盟军之间误伤。（Unveiling of Newly painted Typhoon Jet on anniversary of D-Day Landings.Today the 21st May, Royal Air Force (RAF) Coningsby have commemorated the anniversary of the D-Day landings by unveiling a specially painted Typhoon jet. The jet (tail number ZK308) has been adorned with iconic black and white invasion markings in a tribute to the significant role of the Hawker Typhoon in WWII – particularly during D-Day operations. Included in the unveiling ceremony was a flypast by the Tyhpoon along with a spitfire.）
