Personnel from the RAAF's Air Lift Group and Combat Support Group are participating in Exercise Precision Red 02/09 from RAAF Base Townsville, High Range and Shoalwater Bay Field Training Areas. With approximately 355 personnel participating, Precision Red is a major force preparation exercise and recreates the pressures of deploying personnel in to the field during major Operations. For C-130J Hercules crews, Exercise Precision Red is the final 'test' before they are able to deploy abroad to the Middle East Area of Operations.）
